Unix Test/Support Engineer
Job Description
Our client is a successful international financial services company with regional IT/Development operations based in Prague.As a result of continuous success and excellent performance Prague branch is expanding and are looking to hire a Unix Test/Support Engineer. This is a great chance to join a well-established international company and work at the forefront of technology on truly complex and challenging projects in the world of global finance.
Your main tasks will be the following:
- Participate to the preparation of test cycles
- Provide technical support of the test cycles after their preparation phases
- Ensure existing standards, procedures and tools are always up-to-date despite ongoing changes
- Provide clear, regular and consistent reporting to other members of the team
Requirements
- University degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
- UNIX (Solaris) and Linux (RedHat) operating systems knowledge on Super User/Sys Admin level
- Good knowledge of scripting languages - Shell, Perl, Korn, etc
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of batch scheduler UC4 is a big plus
- Oracle Database Administration knowledge is highly desirable
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Use initiative to resolve problems, willingness to learn
- Willingness to travel to Luxembourg for 3-6 months
