Social MarketPlace – JAVA/J2EE DEVELOPER

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for skilled Java developers to join an exciting new development project for a UK based social media company. This tech firm recently gained substantial investment to deliver a revolutionary new social media site. Whilst the project details are currently confidential, we can say this is NOT a Facebook alternative (although friend connecting is part of the solution), and is much more of a Social MarketPlace……more will be revealed during interview process.

The site will be built in Java/Oracle to ensure its scalability and the robustness required for a multi-million global user base.  The size and future development of the project means there are no specific pre-required sub-skills (Oracle, JBOSS, JSF, Hibernate, Spring are however welcomed). At this stage we are primarily looking for experienced J2EE developers who have varied experience in relevant web based projects. Any experience of developing online payment systems would also be beneficial for example. 

What will you get from this opportunity?
This is a brand new project, currently still in the architectural stages. You will be involved from the beginning and be expected to add a lot of creative input to the design and planning stages .
