Senior .Net developer to be based in Budapest

Job Description

A world leading financial services provider is currently looking for a senior .NET developer to join its Development Center in Budapest, Hungary.

You will be joining an English speaking, dynamic and Agile development environment. You will be working on various short lifecycle projects in close conjunction with end users and managers in UK and US. You will be involved in full lifecycle projects where you will be participating in the analysis and requirements gathering stages along with the post development QA/Test/Release Management stages. Hands on development will account for approximately 30-50% of your focus.

This opportunity requires much more than simply coding or following instruction. You will be expected to take ownership of the areas you are working on, and be responsible for delivering critical application solutions whilst contributing to the overall improvement of team dynamics (process, ideas, communication, and ultimately success). Requirements

  • University degree in IT or similar is beneficial
  • Good level of spoken and written English is required
  • 3+ years commercial .NET experience
  • Excellent C# skills
  • Familiar with different stages of the development lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing and deployment
  • Knowledge of XML and related technologies
  • Good database knowledge and experience (SQL, Sybase or Oracle)
  • Knowledge of WPF and/or WCF will be considered advanatgeous
