Currently is this company seeking for database administrator who shall be responsible for the core production database services and resources.
Role duties shall include planning, troubleshooting , and architecture/development.
Requirements
The work of the DBA shall include the following:- Monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast query responses to end users
- Assess, monitor, and provide user access and security
- Work closely with development staff to ensure that development projects are provided satisfactory access while preserving the core values of security, integrity, performance, and availability
- Preparation of new conceptual designs, and follow-through to logical and physical implementations
- Anticipate and make known hardware and software requirements for existing and planned projects/databases, capacity planning
- Maintain all data models and schemas and educating internal staff on what is and is not available
- Installing new and upgrading existing platforms to latest versions of database software
- Documenting standards, processes and definitions relative to the data systems and data dictionary
- Create and maintain backup plans (on-site and off-site), and assuring that archival processes are functioning properly
- Integrating or installing new applications, making adjustments to existing apps to ensure continued suitability
- Excellent knowledge of MS SQL and MySQL databases administration
