An international company is expanding its operations in Prague, namely their application support department. This is your chance to join a newly built team of professionals and provide best in class service to the top player in the industry.

We are looking for IT professionals experienced in system administration, application support, 2-nd and 3-rd level support engineers to monitor, maintain and ensure flawless, uninterrupted operation of business critical systems and applications 24x7. 
Main responsibilities:
  • Provide support for mission critical applications 
  • Develop specialist knowledge in relevant systems, sharing that knowledge, as required, with global teams
  • Liaise with development teams on future applications
  • Take ownership of issues through to resolution or escalation, as appropriate
  • Development of tools and scripts to automate current manual processes/tasks thus improving the efficiency of the team and allowing the take on of more complex and challenging tasks

Requirements

  • Experience supporting applications on Unix/Linux platforms
  • Very good command of SQL
  • Scripting  in Perl, Python, Shell or similar
  • Previous software development experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent English, both oral and written
  • Excellent problem solver with a commitment to thorough root cause analysis and process improvement
